Regain your best. Lose the rest.
Nevada Surgical Weight Loss Center at North Vista Hospital goes far beyond the weight loss surgery procedure by providing a life-changing program that includes nutritional and exercise guidance, monthly support groups, coordination of counseling services, and long-term follow-up. Weight loss patients experience a team approach to their surgery in order to maximize long-term outcome. The weight loss surgery team consists of a bariatric coordinator, diet and exercise counselor, medical assistant, insurance coordinator, and a weight loss surgeon.

Our experienced, board-certified surgeon specializes in the surgical treatment of clinically obese patients. Two types of procedures are offered: Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and the adjustable gastric band. Nevada Surgical Weight Loss Center is contracted with most commercial insurance plans.

Candidacy for weight loss surgery is determined by criteria published by the National Institutes of Health, and is based on Body Mass Index (BMI). Body Mass Index is a measure of weight and height. This measure is used to determine if a person is underweight, at a healthy weight, overweight, or obese. Surgical candidates have a BMI of 40 or more, or a BMI of 35 to 39.9 with one or more co-morbidities. A BMI of 35-40 is typically equivalent to 80-100 pounds of extra weight.

If you are at least 100 pounds overweight or are facing health risks due to obesity, call toll free at 1-866-896-8446 or locally at (702) 657-5697 or register online for a free introductory seminar.
