Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience. North Vista Hospital invites you to share your time and talent with our visitors, patients and staff. Volunteers are found in every area of the hospital – from administrative offices to patient care areas. Here are some examples of volunteer opportunities at North Vista:

  • Administrative Support
    Weekdays during hours of your choice between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Use your general office and computer skills to assist various departments throughout the hospital.
     
  • Book Cart
    Daily from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Collect and sanitize books and magazines. Deliver books and magazines to patient rooms, visiting with patients when they wish to visit.
     
  • Emergency Room
    Daily from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Greet visitors and patients, provide magazines, children’s books, blankets, coffee and water to patients and visitors, operate the TV remote, escort visitors to the Emergency Room.
     
  • Main Lobby Information Desk
    Daily from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Greet, assist and escort visitors, deliver flowers and mail to patient rooms.
     
  • Outpatient Waiting Room
    Weekdays from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Greet patients arriving for outpatient procedures and ask them to sign in at the Outpatient Admitting desk.
     
  • Special Events
    Scheduled throughout the year, special events include health fairs and community education events.

Volunteer benefits include complimentary meals, Gift Shop discount, free annual TB screenings, free flu shots when available, free volunteer shirt, free health education seminars, volunteer appreciation programs and much more.
